Strayer Surveying & Mapping, Inc. has been serving the Southwest Florida area for over 20 years. Our company was originally founded in 1987, in the south Sarasota County area, as Leslie, Hicks, Strayer and Associates, Inc. Robert B. Strayer, Jr., one of the original partners in 1987, became majority shareholder & President in 1990, leading the way to what is now Strayer Surveying & Mapping, Inc.

In November, 1999, Strayer Surveying acquired the records and business of Douglas Survey & Mapping of Port Charlotte. Douglas provided surveying services in Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte and the surrounding communities for over a decade, acquiring extensive records for this area. In April of 2001, Strayer Surveying acquired the field equipment, personnel and ongoing projects of Charlotte Engineering and Surveying, Inc., further increasing our base of operation in the Southwest Florida area.

Our company is presently providing surveying services from two locations, with a combined staff of over 20 employees. Consisting of six field trucks, six Auto CAD stations, and three administrative staff. Our two modern, 3,000 square foot offices are located in Port Charlotte and Venice, Florida. We are equipped with the latest computer technology and business equipment. All of our field crews are provided with the most current electronic data collectors and total stations, including full robotic systems, and digital electronic leveling. Four of our crews have complete sub-centimeter G.P.S. Satellite surveying capabilities. Our personnel are factory trained and capable of handling projects of any size, quickly and accurately. We pride ourselves on promoting a very productive work environment. Our company staff of over 20 professionals allows us to efficiently handle survey projects from Collier County north to the Tampa Bay area, providing the quality & service you expect from one of the leading southwest Florida Survey & Mapping firms.

We have the capabilities and experience to provide service in all areas of your construction project, from the creation of plats to condominium and subdivision surveys. From site plans and construction lay-outs to final surveys for projects large and small. Our company provides expertise in the creation of sketches and legal descriptions for easements and land acquisitions, as well as performing route surveys for engineering design of roads and utilities.
