Meet Our Staff

Robert B. Strayer, Jr., PSM, CFM – Owner /  President

Bob has over 30 years of experience practicing surveying and has served as an expert witness for the profession. As a state licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper he has managed numerous commercial, residential, land development, environmental and engineering projects. He is currently a Certified Floodplain Manager and has experience with resolving various flood zone mapping and insurance issues.

Bob is an active member of the Florida Surveying and Mapping Society. He has served as the Manasota Chapter President, District 5 Director, State Secretary, State Membership Committee Chair, Publicity and Publications Chair, Chapter Committee Chair, and Political Action Committee Chair. He was also a Certified Seminar Instructor with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

Lisa Strayer – Owner / Administrative Manager

Lisa is responsible for managing all aspects of office organization, productivity, and administrative support. She has 15 years of experience in managing Strayer Surveying and Mapping. She directs clients with orders and invoices, quotes residential surveys, and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business.

B. Gregory Rieth, PSM, CFM – Sr. Vice President

Greg has over 31 years experience as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper. He has been with Strayer Surveying for over 12 years. He has a various amount of experience in the commercial, residential, land development, and engineering aspects of land surveying. His areas of expertise include boundary, topographic, engineering design, subdivision platting and construction layout. He is currently a Certified Floodplain Manager and has various experience with dealing with flood zone mapping and related insurance issues.

Greg is an active member of the Florida Surveying and Mapping Society. He has served as the Vice President for the Society in 2007, Annual State Conference Committee Chair, and has also held various local chapter positions. He was also a Certified Seminar Instructor with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

Russell Strayer, L.S.I.T. – Project Manager

Russell earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geomatics from the College of Engineering at the University of Florida in 2008. He has successfully managed a variety of surveying projects such as ALTA/ACSM Land Title, boundary, topographic, bathymetric, right-of-way, and construction surveys. He is also responsible for writing legal descriptions, computing projects, and has some experience with aerial mapping. He is an active member in the community, and recently served as the Chair for the Professional Development Committee for the Venice Area Young Professionals.  In March 2011, Venice Magazine published an article on him for his outstanding community involvement and professional drive.  In November 2011, he was awarded with the chairman of the year award for his excellent leadership and determination to make our community better.
