Robert B. Strayer, Jr., PSM, CFM - Owner /  President

President and owner of Strayer Surveying and Mapping, Inc. since 1995. Prior to that Mr. Strayer was President and majority shareholder of Leslie, Hicks, Strayer & Associates, Inc. in Venice, which began in 1987 and became Strayer Surveying and Mapping in 1995.

Mr. Strayer has 28 years experience as a Surveyor as well as experience operating several successful businesses. His experience also includes the oversight and management of numerous, large projects and developments. He began his field experience with Fidelity builders in Gainesville, Florida. Returning back to Venice in 1980 where he was employed as a field Surveyor and later a Project Supervisor for Ramar Group Developers.

B. Gregory Rieth, PSM, CFM - Sr. Vice President

As Senior Vice President of Strayer Surveying, Inc. in Pt. Charlotte, Florida, Mr. Rieth is responsible for all operations of our Port Charlotte office. Mr. Rieth has over 31 years experience as a Surveyor and has been with Strayer Surveying and Mapping, Inc. for 11 years. His areas of expertise include boundary, topographic and engineering design surveys, as well as subdivision platting and construction layout.

Lisa Strayer - Owner / Secretary

Owner and secretary of Strayer Surveying and Mapping, Inc. since 1995.  In addition to being majority shareholder of the company, Mrs. Strayer is in charge of all aspects of office administration. Mrs. Strayer has 15 years of experience in running the company, taking care of clients, and seeing to the day-to-day operations of the business.

Russell Strayer - Project Manager / Crew Chief

Mr. Strayer has been with the company since 2002.  He started as an instrument operator, and worked with a variety of different field equipment including:  Leica GPS receivers, Leica total stations, Sokkia SRX robotic total station, Carlson Explorer data collector and Topcon Ranger Data collector.

In 2006, Mr. Strayer left the company to pursue his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida.  While attending school, he worked remotely as a CAD technician doing various work ranging from construction layout to boundary surveys.  After graduating with a BS in Geomatics, Mr. Strayer returned in 2009 as a leader and an example to the field crews. He is currently a Licensed Surveyor In Training (L.S.I.T.) after passing the first part of his license exam, and expects to finish his test and become a Licensed Surveyor in 2010.
