Topographic Surveys

Topographic Surveys determine elevations on and around a particular piece of property. These surveys show any terrain relief as well as canals, road elevations, top of bank elevations or any other irregularities that exist vertically on the property. Topographic surveys can show contours and may also be used for design or drainage purposes. Known vertical control is normally brought into the site so the elevations are referenced to a local vertical datum such as the National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 ( NGVD 29) or the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 ( NAVD 88).
