Construction Stakeout

Construction is one of the largest industries in the United States, thus surveying, as a basis for it, is extremely important. Construction surveying involves using fundamental measurements of horizontal distances, horizontal and vertical angles, and differences in elevation using equipment such as the Global Positioning System (GPS), Robotic Total Stations, or simply a surveyor’s level.  Thus horizontal curves, vertical curves, and volume computations can be determined with construction stakeout. Common purposes for construction stakeout is for staking out roads, pipelines, buildings, sidewalks or even rivers, lakes and ponds.
